My thoughts are winding to lawn mowing. This week some nation will begin the summer ceremonial of mowing and grooming their lawn. For me, I am still a profitable week not present, but I am already getting unquiet.

I have a little over 3 acres of lawn to mow. But I have a astounding toy - my riding lawn mower. No more backing up and going onward three times to get around a tree - reasonable turn the roll and aruond you go in a compact circle.

It takes me about 4 hours to mow my lawn, but that includes trimming with a extended mark trimmer. For me, mowing is a beginning of relaxation. Riding around on the mower is something I take pleasure in a great extent.



Within the next couple of weeks I will put on my pre-emerging see the verb crabgrass preventer and fertilizer. It is pricey - $41 a bag and I urgency six bags. But it is credit it. After I put that I, I will apply a chemical call TriMec on the grass to murder off all the broad blade weeds - principally dandelions.

I think I could take an organic come to my lawn, but I don't. I am surrounded on all sides by landed estate fields and the amount of chemicals used on enormous fields is staggering....
